This week we have been investigating the letter 'E'.We discovered that 'e' can make 2 sounds.
One is a 'short' sound, like we hear at the beginning of 'egg'.
The other is a 'l o n g' sound, like in 'emu'. We hear 'e' saying it's name.

Ear and earring. I put earring in my alphabet book. It doesn't shound like "e for egg" or e for emu".
