We also investigated words that tell POSITION and LOCATION, like OVER.
These are the words we thought of:
on, in, off, out, beside, in front, behind, under, back, front, inside, up, down, backwards, forwards, sideways, left, right, through, around, across, along, above, below, on top, top, bottom
Then we imagined: What if 'DAN' came to MANLY?
What would he fly over? under? through?...
Here's our story of DAN THE FLYING MAN'S MANLY ADVENTURES.
I am Dan the Flying Man,catch me, catch me,
if you can!
over islands,
over the pool,
over our school.
Over mountains,(Do you know what goes here?
Clue: it rhymes with 'beaches')
All the children ran and ran,
They didn't catch Dan, the Flying Man.What else could 'DAN' fly over, under, around, through......?
There's plenty more for him to SEE and DO!

Hi Mrs M and Little Gems,
Peaches and Teachers rhymes with beaches. Dan the flying man could fly over a car.
See you tomorrow.
Jarvis
One of your rhyming words is correct, Jarvis. Which do we have more of at school - peaches or teachers? Dan would certainly fly over a car... in fact, alot of gars on a school day.You can illustrate this tomorrow if you like.
At my place Dan the flying man would go UNDER the ramp, THROUGH my house and fly OUT the window.
