We are a class of Prep students, sharing all that's happening in our classroom. This blog was started by the first group of Gems, a Year One class back in 2007. We, the 2012 Gems are proud to continue on the conversation. You can read, watch and listen as we share our learning journey - a journey where we 'learn to blog' and 'blog to learn'. Please visit regularly to see what's new and join in the conversation - we'd love for you to be part of our learning.

MORE ALLITERATION

Jacob brought in his book
ANIMALIA
by Graeme Base.

He had read it many times,
but had never known before

this week, that it was written
using ALLITERATION.

We liked the 'r' page.
Richly robed rhinocerouses
riding ricketty rickshaws.
Be like Jacob, 1M. Be on the 'lookout' for 'ALLITERATION' as you are reading and if you find it being used, bring in the book to share.

An '8' poem sent in by MAX last night.

Yesterday morning, before school, Alistair was so excited about the new school week, he sent off a poem to the blog. This morning, he was inspired again.

HELP, HAIRY BEAR!

This week, we read HAIRY BEAR because we learnt the sound for 'h'.
We came up with 'HUNDREDS' ( well it seemed like it!) of 'h' words, but instead of putting them on the blog, we wanted to share our INNOVATIONS on HAIRY BEAR. Here are some... more will follow on a later post.
