RACING TO THE FIRE

IN FIVE SECONDS FLAT!

PUTTING OUT THE FIRE WITH FIVE FIRE HOSES

YEAH! THE FIRE'S OUT...

BUT THEY DIDN'T WATER THE ROSES!

I got the idea to write a poem from Elizabeth at INKLESS TALES and we had been learning about 5 and I like fire engines.

OUR NOISY NEIGHBOURS!

All this week, we have had some VERY noisy neighbours!
NO! It's not 1G next door- it's 2 (YES,ONLY 2) rainbow lorikeets who are living in the Bottlebrush tree outside our classroom.

They do nothing but SCREECH and SQUAWK ALL day!

WE are AMAZED that 2 birds can make SO much noise!

They are eating the nectar from the Bottlebrush flowers. They are VERY GREEDY and it often sounds like they are FIGHTING over a flower!
WE don't know why, because there's LOTS of flowers!

Even though they are NOISY, we'll miss them when they go!

Do you have Rainbow Lorikeets visit your backyard?
Do they chat and make noise all day like ours?
What type of tree are they feeding from?

1M, I have seen flocks of over a thousand lorikeets coming together at dusk to feed in the trees outside Carina Leagues Club. The noise was DEAFENING!
