NO! It's not 1G next door- it's 2 (YES,ONLY 2) rainbow lorikeets who are living in the Bottlebrush tree outside our classroom.

They do nothing but SCREECH and SQUAWK ALL day!
WE are AMAZED that 2 birds can make SO much noise!

They are eating the nectar from the Bottlebrush flowers.
They are VERY GREEDY and it often sounds like they are FIGHTING over a flower!
WE don't know why, because there's LOTS of flowers!
Even though they are NOISY, we'll miss them when they go!

1M, I have seen flocks of over a thousand lorikeets coming together at dusk to feed in the trees outside Carina Leagues Club. The noise was DEAFENING!
Have you seen big flocks like this? Where?
