We are a class of Prep students, sharing all that's happening in our classroom. This blog was started by the first group of Gems, a Year One class back in 2007. We, the 2012 Gems are proud to continue on the conversation. You can read, watch and listen as we share our learning journey - a journey where we 'learn to blog' and 'blog to learn'. Please visit regularly to see what's new and join in the conversation - we'd love for you to be part of our learning.

MATHS WIKI

This week, we made our first contribution to the PRIMARY MATHS WIKI.
We are collaborating with some other Year 1 and 2 classes from Canada and America.
All of us are posting pictures of what we have been learning about in Maths.
We have started with PATTERNS - patterns in the environment and patterns we have made.
Take a look at what we added at PRIMARY MATH.

Can you find any patterns in your home environment, Ben? Send the pictures into 1mgems@gmail.com and we can post them to the wiki as well.

Is it possible to take a picture of the numbers you found in your street, Johanna? Then we could upload them to the 'Numbers in the Environment'section of the wiki.

Sophia, maybe you could take a picture of the patterns you make at home, email it to school and we can put it on your blog or the wiki.

Flynn, have you seen patterns anywhere else? Take a photo if you can and email it in.
