We are a class of Prep students, sharing all that's happening in our classroom. This blog was started by the first group of Gems, a Year One class back in 2007. We, the 2012 Gems are proud to continue on the conversation. You can read, watch and listen as we share our learning journey - a journey where we 'learn to blog' and 'blog to learn'. Please visit regularly to see what's new and join in the conversation - we'd love for you to be part of our learning.

AUNTY DELMAE'S VISIT

Today Aunty Delmae came to our school. She is our adopted aboriginal elder.

She is a singer, painter and poet and she is known all around the world.

We are lucky to have her as our adopted elder.
Aunty Delmae sang us one of her songs. There weren't any words.
We closed our eyes and we had to imagine something in nature.

Here is what we imagined...

Hi 1M
I LOVED your pictures. I think it is really interesting that everyone could imagine all those wonderful things from Aunty Delmae's song. Well done everybody. I wish I had been there so that I could close my eyes and think of nature while Aunty Delmae sung.
