We are a class of Prep students, sharing all that's happening in our classroom. This blog was started by the first group of Gems, a Year One class back in 2007. We, the 2012 Gems are proud to continue on the conversation. You can read, watch and listen as we share our learning journey - a journey where we 'learn to blog' and 'blog to learn'. Please visit regularly to see what's new and join in the conversation - we'd love for you to be part of our learning.

ON THE TRAIL OF THE EASTER BUNNY

There was an air of
excitement everywhere today and it wasn't just because it was the last day of the term.
It was because maybe, just maybe, the EASTER BUNNY might visit !
We hung carrots on the side door
and on the poles outside our classroom (Courtney's bunny had a nibble).
We put other bunnies on 'lookout'.
But there was no sign of the EASTER BUNNY.
At lunchtime, we could see what we thought were 'BUNNY FOOTPRINTS' on the road. We were VERY EXCITED! Was that the EASTER BUNNY in a white ute?
A ute would be useful for carrying all those eggs. It MUST be him!
We found more clues.... Easter egg wrappers and nibbled pieces of carrot.
"HE'S HERE! HE'S HERE! could be heard around the school.
But our 'lookouts' saw no sign of the EASTER BUNNY.
We put our EASTER BASKETS out before going to the CHURCH and MUSIC.
Maybe the EASTER BUNNY would come when we were out of the room.
On the way back from MUSIC, we saw some familiar white FOOTPRINTS.
They seemed to be heading for our door!
There were pieces of carrot on the ground!
We looked up. YES!!! Half the carrot had been EATEN!
The FOOTPRINTS went through the doorway
around the classroom
and even onto the TABLES!!
We looked in our EASTER BASKETS. YES!!! There were EGGS!!!
THE EASTER BUNNY HAD BEEN!
The FOOTPRINTS went into 1G
and there was a little piece of fur from the EASTER BUNNY'S TAIL on the floor!
We followed the FOOTPRINTS out onto the landing
(where we found more eaten carrot)
and down the steps... and then there were no more. It was like the EASTER BUNNY had VANISHED! Where had he gone? Was he out in the BAY?
There were no more clues... but if YOU find any, please let us know because we want to say....
THANKYOU EASTER BUNNY!!!
AND TO EVERYONE WHO IS PART OF THE 1M LITTLE GEMS FAMILY, BOTH NEAR AND FAR...

I'm so excited that the easter bunny made the 1m class so happy. I have never seen the easter bunny's footprints so you are all very lucky that you got to follow the easter bunny's steps. It looks like the easter bunny is a messy eater leaving bits of his carrot behind but at least he likes his vegetables. Happy Easter 1m, hope you all have a great holiday.
