We are a class of Prep students, sharing all that's happening in our classroom. This blog was started by the first group of Gems, a Year One class back in 2007. We, the 2012 Gems are proud to continue on the conversation. You can read, watch and listen as we share our learning journey - a journey where we 'learn to blog' and 'blog to learn'. Please visit regularly to see what's new and join in the conversation - we'd love for you to be part of our learning.

FLYNN'S HOLIDAY NEWS!

Hi Mrs M and 1M!

I hope you are all having a great holiday! I’ve just come back from my grandparents farm at Esk! We had so much fun there!
I helped feed the cows and goats and went for rides on the tractor.
We made an Easter egg tree and ate toasted hot cross buns. I woke up very early on Easter Sunday morning and went hunting for eggs at 6am!
We ate chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We went to church then we played barefoot lawn bowls in the afternoon.
I am very tired now but can’t wait to catch up with what’s happening on the blog!

See you all soon
Flynn

OUR FIRST VISIT TO THE LIBRARY!

Today we had our first visit to the new library.

From our classroom, we have to walk along the pathway, past 1G and the Prep rooms, to get to the library.

When we got there, we couldn't see Mrs O, so we called out- "Mrs O, can we come in?"... but she wasn't there!

We saw our library box. We saw an 'igloo' ( we were allowed to sit in it two at a time when Mrs O arrived), but we still couldn't find Mrs O. So we found our own spot and curled up with a book.

At last, Mrs O arrived. She sat on the 'storyteller's seat' and showed us her 'storyteller's cloak'.
Then Mrs O showed us books by her favourite author - Anthony Browne.
We listened to 'WILLY THE WIMP' and enjoyed spotting the differences in 'CHANGES'.

We love the new library, even though it's not quite finished.
We can't wait until we can borrow!

1M, IF YOU WERE GOING TO BORROW AN ANTHONY BROWNE BOOK, WHICH BOX WOULD YOU FIND IT IN?
