LOOK AT OUR 'N' WORDS
We went on that hunt....now we can name all these 'n' words!

We do some fun activities to help us learn our letters and the sounds they make.
Sometimes the sounds are tricky.

We talk about what shape our mouth makes when we make the sound.
We think about where our tongue has to go.

Is it on the roof of our mouth? Is it touching your teeth?
Is it a voiced sound or are we pushing air out?
We worked out that when we make the sound of 'n', our mouths are open and our tongue is on the roof of our mouth.
We look at each other and practise making the sound.
Now we won't get confused with 'm'!

We also go on a letter hunt. We put on our special glasses and go looking for words 
that start with our focus sound.

ALL around the room and write down any words we find.
We also search for the letter, too! We take a photo every time we find it. Look at the n's Sophia found.... on the number chart, the Word Wall Worm and on Naomi's name card.

OUR NIGHT TIME PICTURES
Each week we create something that helps us remember the sound for the letter we are learning.
