VOICES OF THE WORLD ARE STARS

As you know, our VOICES OF THE WORLD task for this month was to sing 'Twinkle Twinkle'.
The slidecast below gives a preview of what we can expect to hear when everyone's final product is published on the November's Task page of VOTW.

We were lucky enough to be included in the preview. You can sing along with us on slide 5!Try singing with the children from Norway and Estonia too!

LOOK AT US TWINKLE!

Here is our contribution to VOICES of the WORLD for November.

Our task was to record ourselves singing 'Twinkle, Twinkle' using a backing track Mrs Tonner gave us. Then we had to create pictures in Paint and upload them with our music track to One True Media.
We chose the 'bubble' slideshow because it reminded us of looking at stars through a telescope.

VOICES OF THE WORLD NOVEMBER TASK

We are well on the way to completing November's task for the Voices of the World project.

This month's task is for everyone to sing 'Twinkle, Twinkle' in their own language, using a backing track that has been given to us.

We are creating images of 'stars' in PAINT, KID PIX and ARTRAGE to go with the song.

Our images and audio will be uploaded to One True Media to create a simple presentation.

We think the final slidecast will be 'sparkling'!

VOICES OF THE WORLD OCTOBER TASK

The Voices of the World task for October is complete.
Each participating school had to create an ANIMOTO
of their National Anthem.

You can see all the ANIMOTOS by clicking on
the VOICES OF THE WORLD banner.
There are many anthems from around the world.
Ours is the 12th one down. It's interesting that the three 'Australian' animotos are very different!

MAKING OUR VOKI

Today we had the task of making a voki to introduce ourselves to the other schools in VOICES OF THE WORLD.

First we 'looked and listened' to all the other vokis. Some we could understand and others we couldn't.

We liked the voki from the little kids in GREECE. They sounded cute.

Next we started our voki. We had to:

* choose a character - we chose an animal.

We changed the colour of it's lips and skin and gave it sunglasses.

* choose a background - we found a photo in Google, saved it to the network, then tried to upload it, but it wouldn't work

* choose a player - we had to choose the badge

* record our audio - it wouldn't let us record on the voki, so we recorded our audio in Garageband. We said :

"Hi, we're the 1M Gems from Brisbane, Australia and you're listening to Voices of the World"

but guess what?

It wouldn't let us upload that either!

We tried many times but it just wouldn't work.

We hope Mrs M can solve the problem!!

VOICES OF THE WORLD

1M, we are going to be part of this worldwide, collaborative project - VOICES of the WORLD.
This exciting project was created to unite children around the world using voice and sound.

Each month we will be given a task to create an audio file that will become part of a VOICES of the WORLD podcast.

The September task was to use a VOKI to introduce yourself in your own (native) language. Everyone had to say...

'Hello, we are from (school) in (country) and you are listening to

Voices of the World'.
